Freezing on shut downI run Windows XP Home with Norton Internet Security.?

My computer frequently "hangs up" or even freezes when shutting down. It is as if it is trying to put a programme away and cannot do so. Can anyone assist and do others suffer this with Windows XP?

I agree with the last person, AVG is a lot better than Norton- it just runs in the background and does a full scan every day. If you can, get the full paid-for version- it only costs 拢22.
dude there are many viruses that come up when u download something from the internet.....so dont use norton...coz it wouldnt find any kind of infection..its worthless..use spyware terminator.....or avg anti virus...coz it happened with me alot of time,...a virus is hanging ur comp again and again....or if this is not the case.,..then i think that u must have downloaded wrong security updates...coz it happenend with me again
hi, my pc did the same when i had norton anti virus. when the subscription expired i started to use AVG free edition and its fantastic! i also use spybot search and destroy which is also free. i now have very good protection!! its a good choice to give up norton..
