Should i allow full access for wmp in mcafee security center?

i have not been able to burn any music for 8 months now.computer is less than 1 yr old( vista).i have talked to gateway and have done 2 complete system restores.i noticed in mcafee i only have outbound access allowed for wmp.should it be changed to full access?would that help,or is it dangerous to do that?or any tips to help me burn music would be wonderful.my only other option i have is to install another burner.i can play cds just can't burn any.PLEASE HELP.

your internet access has nothing to do with your PCs ability to burn CDs or DVDs. its your burner or the firmware for it.

try nero first then if that doesnt work then get a new burner. its cheap anyway. 20-30 bucks.

or the hard way is to try to update the firmware for the burner..

if you can post the burners detail then we can look for it..

add:- make sure your drive is a burner too..
